Should I buy?

Hey everyone hows it going. Ok heres the scoup. Right now I have a 97 S10 SS and I am very happy with it. Before I had it, I had a 1990 RX7 but unfortunatly someone hit me and it was totalled. Now I was looking in the paper the other day and I saw a 1993 Twin Turbo RX7 for sale for around 20k (Canadian) and it intrested me. I went to see it and fell in love with it. Then I was tihnking the first mod I would do is flush lights like the rx7 in fast and the furious (where can I get those?) But then I started reading a post on here...everyone was saying "you better have a bus pass" or something like that...
do they actually brake down that often? Or is it just like any other car and just depends on how it is driven. I mean I want to get one, but if I have to worry about spending 500 everyone 2 months to fix the damn thing it isnt worth it. Anyway please let me know if they are reliable, etc. and where I could get flush lights

Thanks
Shane

Cwest builds the lights. Don't go for the F&F look. Get your own look. Those headlights are tight but cost at least $1300 to get. East Bear builds a cheaper kit but it is open top no cover. You can get them for around $550. Dragon has them on his car. Use the search to see them. Just enter Dragon East Bear and you'll see a post with pics of his car.

Welcome to the forum.

Here's a good thread about maintaining FD's:

You should also check out the following links:

Don't be afraid of the search option. 99.9% of the questions you might think of, have probably already been asked here.

The lights in TF&TF are the RE Amemiya, not the Cwest. THe links given above are more than enough info on the "reliability" of a 3rd Generation RX7. If you use that search button in the rop right of the forum, you can pull up tons of information on any topic you want. GL with your decision.

The first "mod" you should do is to perform reliability mods and to get the car running 100%. BTW, it's your car but I think most people on the forum would agree that the F&F RX-7 looked pretty ******* cheesy and overdone. I do anyway.
