If your rotors don't need to be milled, then stick with 2mm seals.

As for prices, that will depend on the shop who is going to rebuild your motor. Pick a few rebuilders and then give them a call to get pricing information (i.e. Pettit Racing, Pineapple, RX7 Store.net, Gotham Racing, KDR, etc).

Don't forget about engine removal and reinstall (R&R). If you aren't going to do that yourself, that will be an added expense.

Engine rebuild?

Well, if you have the time, tools and patience.... anything is possible. There are videos for "How-To's" on rebuilding these engines. However, even with the videos, I wouldn't expect it to go "just right" the first time. The problem is, you really won't know if you did it right until you reinstall it.

I just had a friend just go through this and he didn't enjoy it. He pulled and rebuiit the motor twice before getting a working rebuild. How long will it last? Who knows, but he had the time and the tools.

You should talk with IMP and see what they have to say before deciding anything.
