Shortage on motors???
Just wondering if anyone would know about the current supply of reman motors. I have been waiting for about 3 weeks for a motor for my car from malloy mazda. From what I was told they were out of stock and the motor was comming directly from their disributor to the garage doing the install on my car. I feel that I'v been waiting an unusual amount of time.
Anyone have any answers???

I can understand were rebuilding an engine would take awhile. But I am just buying a new shortblock. Seems kinda rediculous that it's been 3 weeks and I'm still empty handed.

i talked to him like 2 weeks ago and he said they were in stock and could to their destination in a week... weird! i usually talk to ray 2-3 times a week (no were not dating) but we usually get some small talk in aswell where he tells me status of things and he never said anything about a shortage. hes very good upfront and honest about everything i've never had a problem except for getting the wrong part which he took care of instantly. if theres anything wrong it must be the supplier. i would call him tomorrow and see whats the real word. i'll end up calling tomorrow anyway to get some more seals so i can mention something for you... whats your name?

I think a lot depends on what you are looking for. if you want a quality reman, with mostly new internals, you may have to wait. if you want a reman with used (but within spec) internals, then they are usually readily available. I'm speaking in generalities I've noticed over the last 5 years, not about right now specifically.
