I didnt hear about that.
The only shifter I hear that does the lock-outs is the STILLWAY Shifter, THAT ONE IS AWESOME, if I upgrade or even change thats my next one.

Stillway shifter,
Does the Stillway version sit (high) up on top of the console? The seq. shifters I've seen look like some kind of gremlin on the console.

stillway looks bad-***!!...i have the pettit....no complaints here....throws are very short and precise...a little notchier than stock, but in a good way....action feels very thick and heavy witht the stock ****....

Stillway is the best, but $$
The reason is, short shifter combined with lock out. For example.....
in 1st it will only let you shift into 2nd, in 2nd it will only let you shift into 3rd and so on.... OF COURSE there is a bypass, just pull up on the lock and you can shift into any gear you want.

cutting will lower the shift ****...but will not shorten the actuating throw....as said, the pivot point of a "short shifter" is higher up on the shaft, thus creating less leverage but shorter throws to accomplish the shift....
