Shop drove my car without any coolant....
I was goign to run up to the shop to take a couple pictures of my car that I had just dropped off because a coolant hose busted. Right when I pulled up I saw my car back up and drive off to be taken to the garage. The garage isn't but a couple hundred feet from the parking space but when the car got about half way it started to smoke from the exhaust and it was a blackish blue color...
could driving it that far have messed it up?

No, because a thermostat keeps coolant outta of the engine until it reaches a certain temp. A few hundred feet isn't enough time to get the car warmed up.
Drag racers run cars without coolant or a radiator. The cars are only on for like 2 minutes. Granted, they change motors pretty frequently, but it's not due to the lack of coolant.
Blackish blue smoke i think means an oil leak somewhere. I'm not sure on that one.

the engine will always have coolant in it, the t-stat keeps "cold" coolant out while the car is warming up.
