Shipping GoodfellaFD3S "7" What's been you experience with "Car Movers"?
I went cheap and it cost me. I looked for the cheapest transport company and got my car and the car carrier had shot hydralic fluid all over the hood and fender from a leaky line on the truck. It burned through the paint and I had to paint the car. The guy told me to get a estimate and then. once i faxed it he told me I had only 3 days to file a claim and it was too late. Sorry, and hung up. I was enraged but didnt have the time to retain a lawyer and deal with it so i had it repainted. I cant remember the place but it was an open carrier. GO ENCLOSED like Horseless carraige. I am sure its big bucks but if its that important I would do it. After what I have been through with shipping cars, you get what you pay for.
Make them visually inspect the condition of the car previous to shipping, and take pictures of everything.
Then take the PFC Commander and set the rev limiter to like 2500 RPMS or something, then unplug the Commander and mail it up to NJ.
That'll definately limit the hot rodding that goes on.

If you go with Intercity you dont have to worry about the drivers to take the cars out for any joy rides or anything like that. The only time they have to drive your car is if they have to move the car off the truck to load or unload another car along the way to your place. They record the mileage on the car at pick up so you can compare that to what the car reads when it gets to its destination. All of the trucks are driven by husband and wife teams and I had an awesome couple bring mine to me. The were very cautious when they were moving all the other cars off the truck to get mine out. Good luck...

I don't know the specifics on the Power FC but is there a way you can lower the rev limit? In case it is driven without permission by someone? Just a thought..
With my Neon, I have a WOLF3D EMS, and anytime anyone else is going to drive it (valet, shops) , I put the program in with no timing and a 2700rpm redline - I imagine they hit the limiter one time, then **** themselves thinking they broke the car and quietly put it away and leave it alone

I had a look at a great experience having Horseless Carriage ship an Indy Lights car for a friend of mine. I would probably use them if the need arose.
I think I used A-1 transport... I'll check they used a covered transport and cost 5-600 bucks. I'll look around and see if I can't find the name...
Basically just find a co. that transports cars in a covered flatbed...w/ insurance.
Rich jr. If you want I'll switch rims w/ you to make sure they don't get all messed up on the way there...

Looks like Barrett Jackson (who runs the huge auto auction on Speed channel) uses Intercity http://www.barrettjackson.com/concie...ce/default.asp
