ShineAuto FD3S: Re-Amemiya Rear Diffuser Install

Has someone done a write up for the shine auto re diffuser install?

I know there are bits and pieces of info all over the sale thread, but is there a 'how-to' thread somewhere with all the info together? Would be great if there is...

Thanks.

why would you need a writeup?? isnt it just "direct bolt up"...

well obviously i haven't 'bolted' it up and i heard that you need to make some custom brackets for it to sit higher up... there is also talk about whether or not the rear piece out of the bumper needs to be cut out.. or not...

therefore, a writeup would clear up all these issues and also give me a better understanding of how it is 'bolted up' as clearly, i haven't bolted one up before.

1. Removed the rear plastic lip at the bottom of the rear bumper
2. Bolted the two carbon fibre supports to either side of the rear bumper (just look at pics it's easy to figure out where)
3. Attached the two brackets that come with it to the car behind and to the side of the fuel tank....there are existing screws/bolts you can use.
4. Attached the diffuser to the side supports and the two brackets.
5. I think we also drilled a hole to attach the rear of the diffuser to near the rear bumper.
6. Trim the diffuser as necessary to your exhaust.

I had it come lose once because my mate had used a screw instead of a bolt in one location and hadn't tightened it enough.

Otherwise it's been fine, no problems with scraping or anything...unless I'm stupid and reverse that little bit too far
Thanks for the info, will give it a go

I suggest you call them. THey are pretty helpful on the phone. I had to get their help when I installed the RE-A 'other' rear difffuser.

I'd like to, but I'm from overseas...
