she runs finally! but one concern plz help all!!

hey i jus started my car up after 7 months of painful repairs and dreaded snowfall that cruelly made her stay in the garage....but she finally breathes....tho...she has a problem.....i start her up and my 4W ABS light is on...i thought that was odd...bc i didnt do anything with the abs system...nor even repair near it...any inquiries??? what problems could i be facing??...

maybe your abs sensors are getting old and stoped working??? I heard that the most of the causes of the ABS lights comming on is because of the ABS Sensors....

If you move your car by rolling it, the ABS sensor will turn on. It's a feature on the ABS system. There is a way to reset that ABS light. I forget what it is though. Check your service manual for that...

edit.....

As soon as you turn on your car, you have to press your brake pedal for 10 times in succession. Each pressing of the pedal should be less than one second and you need to do this before the beeping sounds of your car goes away.

I had an intermittent problem with my abs, sometimes light came on sometimes off. When I rotated my tires, took an air hose and blew off the sensors on the rear, think they were behind the brake backing plates, they were covered with brake dust. Problem went away.

ok thanks for the info...ill go try cleaning it off and pumping the brakes today...ill see what my result is..thnx for info
