shaky boost problem

well my crazy boost continues. here are the symptoms, so if any one has ever had these or know what it is please tell me, i will send you a present if you tell me what it is and it fixes it. my car had dp, high flo cat, catback and it worked fine. then i added ecu and intake at the same time, and after that is when it started. the car when i first start driving it does fine but after it warms up is when it does funny. if i am jsut cruising down the road in say 4th gear at 45mph my boost gauge needle will start shaking back and forth very quickly in about 1 pound increments say from 2lbs-3lbs very quickly. no matter what i do with teh gas pedal it jsut keep shaky in about pound increments, if i buil boost it shakes as it goes up, or it will shake in the vacume. now if i let of the gas quickly for about 2 seconds and give it gas again it will go away until i cruise for a few moments, it will not do it if i very the rpms the whole time, it starts when i keep a constant. when it does it the car loses power, when i give it gas it has very little response and i can feel a shuttering in the car, and if i have boost and left of the gas slowly i can hear the air coming out of the BOV going cha cha cha cha, mimicing what the boost gauge is doing. i have tried putting my stock ecu back in to see if it was that but it still did it, so i am at a loss here, any information regarding this subject will be greatly appreciated, if you have any questions please ask, and dont forget about the prize thanks for all your time and help, scott

I'd confirm that stuttering action with another gauge. Just borrow or but a cheap Vac/press. test gauge and 5-6 ft of vacuum hose from the UIM nipple to the inside of the car and plug your new gauge. Even better would be to tee in wityh your boost gauge so that thery work simultaneously.

It is possible that you are having boost and guage problems. This will confirm or eliminate the gauge question and deem it reliable for further toubleshooting.

By the way, sounds like you are going to need that Vac./pressure test gauge for the long term.
