serious stock security system problem
my 94 is having some security system problems. Starting on this weekend my passenger door would not lock when I lock the drivers side door. I would not hear the selenoid either. Then it would work again fine. Sometimes it works others it doesnt so I have to manually lock it. Last night my (factory) alarm went off in the middle of the night and I can tell nobody messed with the car. I turned the alarm off and tried to re set it and it took me a few mintutes before i can set it (it just would not light up saying its set). now whenever I unlock my drivers side door, I hear a loud BEEP, similar to what you hear when you set the alarm.
Its kinda weird everything is happening to my passenger side (my passenger window doesnt always work, but sometimes it does).
Any ideas?

hahaha...zero im having issues too..couple months ago i paid for a viper alarm...$500..now i dont use my remote cuz it will arm my stock alarm...im still in a slump of why its doing this all of a sudden...i must find time to go bitch at custom car alarms....

Zero, sounds like you've got more than just alarm issues. If your window only works intermittently, you probably have some electrical problems that are affecting the passenger door altogether.
I can't begin to imagine where to look, but you might consider disconnecting everything in the passenger door to see if maybe you've got a short or something there that's causing all of your problems.

Yo man, my car does the same but worse. Half of the time I have to open the passenger side door first because the drivers side actuator/solenoid doesnt completely unlock the latch. THEN, I cant lock the drivers side door from inside. This is the worst. I have no clue what this is and I dont wanna ruin my door by taking it apart. Here in italy I dont think carjackings are common but as soon as I get back to the states I will get it fixed. For now I just lock it from the outside once the door is already open, which sets the alarm but I assume the alarm is disactivated when I turn the car on. At least I know the factory alarm works, it is just the locks that dont.
