serious help

Alright, I just bought a 93. It is a great car but it is an auto. I prefer a 5 sp. but I didn't want this deal to pass by. Now, is there anyone out there that nows how to convert an auto into a 5 speed? I would appreciate any advice or a good site to go to about it. Oh yeah, would anybody know anything about a gull-wing door conversion for my car? I haven't found anything about it. And the shops I went to said they didn't know how to do it.
Thanks, any help on either of these would be hot!

The conversion is not going to be cheap. There are a few people who have done the conversion on the forum:

There is no "kit" for the gull wing conversion. You'll have to find a custom shop to fabricate everything you'll need. RE Amemiya does the conversion over in Japan, however I hear the price is upwards of $10k. Even with a custom shop here in the states, you are still looking around the $10k mark to have it done.

As Mahjik said. Save that address. It is a great site and it covers a lot of questions that you may have.

If you live in NC I highly recommend you contact www.rotorsportsracing.com (right outside of Charlotte). Bryan can help you out in anyway possible. Call him up, he is full of information and loves to talk about anything car related. He's the best around. He works specifically with RX-7s. Don't take it to just anyone.
