Series 8 No Park Lights or Cluster Lights (TNS is brand new)
Hello Members,
I have a series 8 FD. No park lights or cluster lights; but headlights work fine.
All fuses are fine - tested 10a and 15a in cockpit and the 60a fuses.
TNS is brand new and clicking when I turn on park lights.
I am not sure when the issue began but I have had the gearbox out myself recently following engine rebuild and new paint job. The reverse switch got crushed when the gearbox was sent away for new gears but I soldered it back onto the gearbox upon its return and the rear reverse lights work fine.
Any ideas appreciated. I checked all the posts to date but they did not help. I assume the return wire from the TNS may be severed somewhere.
Happy driving
Ben

That's no good. I also had a clicking noise as well from under the steering wheel. With a seatbelt light that was always on. Turns out, it was the ECU #2 and I had to replace a few capacitors on the board. Electrical issues are never fun to troubleshoot.
Wow that must have been hard to diagnose. I ended up fixing it myself. Found one of the lines was broken from the relay box. Soldered it up and everything worked again. Was wonderful to get it working again.
