Well, essentially thats what you have after the malfunction... the car is stuck in twin mode.

Well, maybe I don't want to go non-sequential... I really hate the way it drives with it happening part time, really don't want it that way full time.

if this is what non sequential feels like no way in hell do i want any part of it.it sucks.boost build up slowly and very unresponsive.
has anyone tried to adjust the rod? i put some penetrating oil on the tca rod and it actually cleared up the problme for a little bit. Then it was back to its old self again. Maybe the rod to the tca is in need of a little sanding? rust buildup? im shooting in the dark here. But you never know.

Well, since others have replaced solenoids, replaced vacuum hoses and disconnected vacuum hoses, then replacing/servicing the actuator is next feasible option.

I even had my shop switch the actuator out... it was with a used one, so there's a chance it had the same problem, but i wasn't willing to buy a brand new one to find out for sure.

Can anyone tell me how what HDP is describing could feel anything like non seq? That must be coming from people that never drove non seq car. He is saying his boost drops at transition and takes a long time (if ever) to recover.

How could anyone think thats what non seq feels like? At the transition point a non seq car is running away from a seq car. The only thing you miss in a non seq car is under 3500, but you gain a bunch from about 3500-5000 so in my opinion its better. I'd rather have more midrange. If you stomp the gas at 4500rpms with a non seq car its builds boost fast as hell.....how could you guys think this problem resembles a non seq car?

Not to mention the whole reliability side of things. If you all had a non seq car you wouldnt be sitting here discussing this problem, instead you'd be looking at the empty space under the uim where you can see the top of your engine and you only have 2-3 vacume lines total.

Stephen

Its not the TCA or the CCA themselves since I have new of both.....don't ask.

Anyway, the TCA door appeared fine when I replaced it as far as its movement so I don't think it is sticking. ALL actuators appear fine on my car now. I hope to check things Friday night again. I have no idea what to look for since I have checked everything I can think of but I'll look.

What I am experiencing is not what a working non-sequential system would feel like. I can be at 6k rpms and get a max of 2-3 psi. If I drop to 2800rpms and punch it again it works fine. There are a few topics flying around here about the same thing where I've posted. But yes, Stephen is right, a working non-seq is nothing like what most of us are experiencing. I just feel I am so damn close to fxing this I have to stay seq.
