Seibon ST Hood...

Does anyone have this hood? I am contemplating purchasing it, but need some feedback. How does it fare in the rain? Fitment?

Looks like the same as the VIS SCOOT hood. Very popular. Most I've seen fit very well, not sure how well it fairs in the rain. Probably better than my Knightsport Style hood.

Seibon makes one of the best replica hoods much better than vis and importfan. Overplayed IMO, would much rather have the n1 hood or the hood i have on order from j-land.

I just bought a hood from lambodoors.com replica of the N-1 hood and the fitment is okay and the price fair.. great customer service.

Since you live around metro/dc area maybe you can pick it up..

I think they are everywhere cuz they look really good, and you can't find an N1 hood for under a thousand that fits right.

that hood was originally a Scoot hood, before everyone copied it. i believe they offered a rain guard kit to slide under the vents. My RE N1 hood came with rain guards, but i cant close my hood all the way when theyre in. so i only use them when she's parked. i think you might run into the same problem with the Scoot hood.

Seeing that Chuck is not in business anymore, Seibon is the only other place I would (and did) get an aftermarket hood from. That is, next to original. Finish is excellent and not wavey like others I've seen.

Bought a Seibon ST hood last month...very nice hood. Fitment is good providing a little filing on stock hinges so hood can be adjustable.

I dont drive the FD in the rain so cant tell about that.

Underhood temperature are much lower see as much as 5* C drop so far.

These are the pics of the hood for 299, i had it like 5 months ago and it fit horrible, i felt relutcant to say anything but I feel it is necessary now. Heres some of the pics

These are the pics of the hood i sent to the manufactuer, they did refund my money and said the problem was fixed because the hood didnt fit in the latch right.

I have the VIS version and fit is good. It also has nice deep vent unlike that one.

As for rain no issues so far. It was 70F today and my car only reached 82C in traffic after 30 minutes of driving. Both come with rain guards and I've read that seibon dosn't use real CF not that it really matters. They also come with those grills which was a show stopper for me.

I like the grills for some reason.

If they are not using real carbon then what are they made of? Any one know?

Haven't got the chance to modify the hinges but I will get some pictures tonight of the hood.

Compare to purerx7's hood the Seibon hood I have fit 100% better (no mod)
