Secondary Turbo Compressor not spinning at idle

Is this normal?

I've been working lately to get the car to idle properly after a bunch of mods have been performed.

I've got the car to idle hunt between 600-1100.

I just noticed tonight, that at idle, that the secondary turbo compressor is not spinning at all. I can spin it by hand no problem. It just seems that it's getting ZERO exhaust pressure. The primary is working just fine.

I always thought that both of them should be getting some exhaust pressure regardless of RPM

If your car is still setup to be SEQUENTIAL, then this is totally normal!

The secondary turbo does not begin to see any exhaust until it is under load and above a certain RPM.

Arghx (sp?) has a great thread about how the sequential setup works in great detail.

Ok, I just wanted to make sure.

Also, im having this really bad squeaking noise coming from my bellhousing. I've installed an exedy hyper single but I have no idea what else could be doing that. I put a lot of grease on the pilot bearing and input shaft before I mated the tranny so I know it's not that.

what else could it be?

Clutch fork takes a little grease at the slave rod and where it inserts into the TO bearing. I think it would have to be really dry though.

That squeaking noise kinda sucks. I was irritated when i got the exedy clutch and it didn't come with a new throw out and pilot bearing. I knew i should have ordered them from Ray before i installed everything but got lazy and now it's biting me in the ***.

I have to mess with my slave cylinder anyways because the clutch won't bleed. i used a mityvac to pull the nasty old black brake fluid out but after that it won't pull fluid from the reservoir anymore.

I can't say I've spent much time looking at open 2ndary turbo compressor inlets at idle. However to me I'd say that's a good sign your turbo control valve and pre control valve are sealing fully.
