Secondary turbo being pressurized to spin BACKWARD?
For you veterans, I know there was a specific fix to diagnose this...
Boost is 12, hicccup, then -15 vacuum! I'm at 20 vacuum when letting off gas and even 15 at cruise. So I punch it in 2nd, 3rd or 4th, primary jumps to 12 and all is good. Hit transition, boost plummets to vacuum and the engine bogs with no throttle response, like airflow is blowing AGAINST the second turbo to slow it down, not just 0 psi to. Basically I get little throttle pedal response and a nice "BOG" or "MOO" with popping noise until back on primary turbo circuit only and turbine slows down. I replaced the CRV hoses and the turbo line green/black check-valve to the pressure tank tonight, thinking the pressure tank wasn't holding vacuum to activate the second turbo circuit, but obviously that wasn't the case. It just happened last weekend and no hose work/mods or tinkering was done to cause it. Suddenly it was no transition nor secondary boost, and the car lags until spooled down. All hoses inspected and secure. Any suggestions?
