Seat belt strap thingy!!

Hi Guys...

I had some body work done on my fd and the ******** managed to break the strap thingy on the side of the seat that holds the seatbelt...

The top part that unclips/unhooks is ok but the bottom bit that is permanently fixed in place is shattered and it is really pissing me off..

Can these be replaced or is it part of the seat trim

Any help/advice on how to fix and where to get the prt would be appreciated.

Thanks

It's part of the seat trim. The upper seat trim from Mazda is over $300, so it would seem you're in the market for a used part.

Thanks Bud..

**** sake...what a load of horse ****, have to buy a full seat trim just to fix that one little bit...

What a nightmare, you give your car to someone to fix one thing and they break another...********

Anyone know where I might get the trim..other than Maxda dealer??

Is taking it back to the shop an option? They were responsible.

This is why you eye **** your car BEFORE you drop it off, take note of anything you know was already there, and then eye **** it again when you pick it up.

My customers do it to me once in a while, especially a new walk-in customer. I don't blame them....too many shady businesses out there and I don't trust anyone either so I can't blame them for making sure my shop didn't do any damage.

Yeah I know all that....

When I picked the car up they had done a fantastic job on what they were supposed to do, there was even a nice plastic covering on the drivers seat, **** me I thought these guys are really good and were real careful with the interior too.

Then about two hours later I took off the plastic covering on the seat and realised that the *********** were just hiding the broken seat strap...

I was absolutely furious...anyway, expensive lesson learned.

Next time someone breaks something on my fd im gona break a body part, and im dead serious.

Sneaky bastards eh!

post a want to buy in the classified section-bump it every so often. Somebody on the forum may have one and help you out - I have had very good luck on getting some obscure bits and stuff-be willing to pay a fair ammount. There is a seat out there with the parts you need. While not a simple repair job it can be done. Good luck.

I thought this was just part of the seat rail? If that's the case, I might have one for sale soon...
