Anybody ever hear of the hydraulic unit leaking from the electrical connector thingys? Its a slow leak, but the paint under the ABS unit is turning into goo. Can this be fixed, or does the whole thing have to be replaced?

I remember when mine leaked...I bought a used second unit in case, but before I replaced it, I tightened all the bolts (hex screws) the leaking slowly stopped...weird...

 

I developed a leak in mine as well and just had it replaced with a used one. A new one is $1200 from Mazda!

 

I'm selling my low mile ABS unit for 200.

 

Mine does the same thing. Priced out a new one $2000 OUCH!!! Go with used if you can.

 

Thanks for the help, guys. I tightened the bolts and we'll see how she holds. $2000!!! I think I'll go ahead w/ used.
