broken nipple on double throttle control valve
While trying to test my check-valves I broke the off the nipple to what I'm almost positive is the double throttle control valve. The check valve was the green and white smaller one connected to the UIM.
I have two questions:
1) How hard would it be to get to the solenoid and replace it? It looks like its buried pretty deep in there and I have a feeling I'd end up with a much bigger job than I intended.
2) Can I drive the car without this hose connected? Will it just disable the double throttle?
Thanks for any help.

same thing happend to me. So i just ended up removing double throttle all together. It's not that hard, and saves you all the trouble from replacing that solenoid.
I don't know if it's good idea to drive it with it broken because it might be closed and that way you will loose some boost.
You can do a search on double throttle removal.

you don't need the double throttle, just make sure you don't go WOT when the car is cold, it's the only purpose of that thing.
almost everyon on the board removed it.

nope, leaving the actuator with nothing attached to it will leave it open. just put a bolt in the hose (where was the check valve) if you don't want to remove the UIM
