Sorry guys, I didnt read this thread until now but I have been busy with the group buy with all the last minute orders rushing in. I think some of you are confused about the pricing. I need more than 10 orders on a particular version of the hoods to drop the price to the 2nd level. Let's say we have 11 orders of CF version, the price is going to drop to $1050 but the FB version will stay the same at $950 if there are not more than 10 orders of FB version. Sounds weird doesn't it. It's because the carbon fiber hood and fiberglass hood although share the same mold, do not share the same manufacturing process. Since we already have total of 11 buyers on the hood, if you can convice all the FB buyers to switch to the CF hood, the price will still drop to $1050. I will email those guys to see if they want to switch since the CF will be only $100 more than the original FB price.

Hey Chuck, I would be willing to upgrade to the CF version. I am in for the fiberglass version, but if it's only 100 bucks more if we get one more convert, then I will go ahead and change it so everyone can get benefit from it. Can I still get the CF painted after it has been covered with the clear coat?! And any news on the RE style light kits? Time frame?

good news for you scoot hood buyers. I will drop down the price to $1050 for the carbon fiber one and $850 for the fiberglass one if we have a total of 10 orders on either version. Even though the composite factory will not negotiate on the prices but I guess misunderstanding costs money so I will just take the loss and make everyone of you happy. I will also extend the deadline on the scoot hood group buy to 2-28-02. This applies to the Scoot Hood only, not the FEED type II bumper. Thank you.

Hey Chuck, when do you anticipate the hoods being totally complete...last thing I heard you weren't even getting the hood ordered until mid-Feb?
What kinda ETA are we looking at? Will there be a longer wait on the CF as opposed to the FG?

The hood was ordered but it's on back order until mid-feb. The ETA will be sometime in April for the replia. The hood is suppposed to show up by the end of March. 4-6 weeks transit time from Japan to the US and also needs time to clear custom. I cannot give you a definite ETA until the Scoot hood shows up. You will wait longer if you are at the bottom of the group buy list. You will wait longer if you order a CF one. The FG is faster to make.
