Hello All,
Just throwing this out there as a 'Save the Date' for this year's Chris Carlisi Memorial Event.... the 7th Annual!
It will be held on Saturday November 15th at NJ Motorsports Park -- Thunderbolt this year, in collaboration with the TrackTime4Cars organization as we have done the past two years (at Pocono in 2013 and NJMP Lightning in 2012).
After speaking with both Ron and Judie (Chris' father and mother), Chris' good friend Mike M. (zoom zoom on the forum), and big bad Ray Crowe, we've decided to tone things down by a large amount this year.
This means that in 2014 the event is more of a 'get together, hang out, meet & greet' event more than anything else.
In the name of simplicity, there will be no sponsors or raffle of parts this year. We've decided to focus on the spirit of the community, and of just enjoying being at (and possibly on) the track. Most importantly remembering Chris and his passion for the rotary engine and the RX-7.
The car show right now is a 'maybe' and the T-shirts are a 'probably.'
I've spoken to Glen at TT4C, and he has been gracious enough to again extend their member rates to our group: $225 for one day, $400 for both days (they're on Lightning on Sunday, I'll include a link later).
They now are only allowing intermediate drivers and above on track, and ride alongs are only allowed with other registered drivers. They've tightened down a bit on the safety aspect since last year.
You will get a lot of track time..... they run from 9 to 5, with a 20 minute session per driver every hour (except the lunch hour), which means about seven 20 minute sessions in one day, which is a LOT of time.
Glen has agreed to allow us to hold parade laps in Chris' honor during the lunch hour
The event will be held on Saturday, but all are welcome on Sunday as well and I hope many plan to make a weekend out of it.
More info to follow, in the meantime here are some links to the TT4C website.
I'll also follow up with a 'how to sign up' for those wanting to get on track

I hope to be there again this year. Had a great time last year and actually have a running car this year. I don't see a time listed other than the track time which is 9 to 5. is the whole meet 9 to 5?

Received this info from Barb over at TT4C:
Have your drivers fill out this form--
https://www.teampromotion.com/forms/...s-registration
Please be sure they select guest and besides username type in Chris Carlisi. They don't need to type in a password.
Fritz, waiting to hear back on last minute sign ups.

What time is the meet/hangout kicking off?
I don't think I'm doing the track event, I've got plans the night before, but wouldn't mind driving up in the AM to see people, and could probably be there by 1:00 or so.

question, i don't see (or at least missed it) about signing up to attent the event as a guest. I know normally we pay some money per person to get in and stuff, is that still happening? if it is, do we prepay? pay there? how much to pay? thanks guys.
The meet will start around 9 am. I'll have a booth set up with some info, some cool products, etc.
There is no fee to attend if you are not tracking. You only pay what the track charges for an entry fee.

I learned that the last day to sign up to track is Thursday, October 30th. They don't guarantee spots for last minute arrivals, I'm trying to determine how full they'll be. It's still a possibility for ya Fritz
This is the best hotel to stay at in the area IMO, I've stayed here every year and loved it:

I plan on making it. Are there any issue with external wastegates on the track?
Got a few things to try and fix before then. If I cant make it on the track I'll be there in attendance (unless the wife says otherwise

You'll be fine. There are no houses or anything around.
