are you referring to the intercooler samco hoses?
well, as long as you can still mount the intercooler to the stock location you can use the samco hoses. If you go with a fmic then you definitely need to custom/different ones

if you're referring to the samco radiator hoses, they won't fit without modifying

what intercooler, and what style manifold? With my aspec long runner and blitz fmic I def can't use my samco lower rad hose, I had to use the one provided with the blitz fmic. I could use the upper rad hose, but I'd have to hack it to death and will probably just stick with my 'custom' stock shortened one.

With my set-up (blitz FMIC, koyo rad, samco rad. hoses, long runner manifold) all I had to do is cut down the upper radiator hose a bit to get it to fit right. It was pretty simple, not much alteration had to be done at all.

Interesting, your setup is similar to my new one. You were able to fit the koyo rad w/the stock fan shroud attached? What did you do about the R1 oil cooler lines, bent them out of the way?

I have a koyo radiator, had a long-runner single turbo, and a greddy FMIC and was able to use the samco hoses, both upper and lower with NO problems. The lower one was a tad shorter than I would've liked but nothing significant. Hope that helps.

I was able to find a really good deal on the IC only, as a result I didn't use any of their brackets for the radiator. So what I ended up doing is using the factory lower mounting tabs for the radiator; I bent them down and then drilled into the ends to secure the koyo in the same fashion as the stock radiator. The fitmet with the oil lines is really close but I don't recall doing any cutting of the fan shroud. Although I will admit it was almost a year ago, so I could have done a little bit and forgot at this point.

Here you can see the shortened upper rad hose with my setup---I had to cut it about 6 inches on the rad end. It's too close to the compressor for my tastes and is going to get in the way of the air filter, so I'm going to purchase one of the bendable universal stainless steel hose kits from jegs.
