NM Sakebomb IGN-1A Install Question

So I’ve emailed Sakebomb Garage twice in the past week since I’ve received the kit and haven’t gotten a response, so here I am. I know this a very popular ignition system kit and quite a few of you have it, so I’m hoping I can explain this correctly and get my problem solved.

So I got to the point in the installation where I’ve already assembled the coils on the bracket and the instructions say to plug in the connectors in the following order; Leading 1, Trailing 1, Leading 2, Trailing 2.

However, neither my connectors nor my coils are marked as to which go with which. Am I missing something? Does it even matter? Or am I over thinking this? Thanks in advance.

I haven't done the Sakebomb kit, but I installed a similar IGN1A kit. Are the connectors marked at all? Mine came marked (T1, T2, L1, L2). According to the Sakebomb website, your harness connectors should have stickers on them with similar labels.

The ignition coils should all be the same, so you just need to make sure that whatever the connector is marked, matches with where you run your spark plug wires to.

For example, for your harness connector labelled L1, plug it into one of the IGNA coils, and run that coil's spark plug wire to rotor 1s leading spark plug. (for my kit, Rotor 1 was defined as the front rotor, and Rotor 2 as the rear rotor closest to the transmission)

Sorry if you knew all of that already. That's what I remember and see in the installation instructions from the kit I used.

I actually did not know that it came labeled, bc mine wasn’t so I’m glad you pointed that out.

So now my question is, is there an alternative way to tell which connector is which? Or should I send the kit back and get another?

I'm sure there is a way to tell, but I couldn't say.

I'd call them up on Monday, everyone over there is always really great to work with. Sometimes they get a little behind on emails and it can take a few business days to get a response. They will get you fixed up though.

The coils are all the same. When my harness arrived it wasnt labeled either so you have to look at the wire colors to determine which wire goes where. As you can seem from my picture, the connector on the left has a yellow wire so thats T2, the next connector over is hard to see is pink T1, next over is blue wire so L2 and the last connector on the right is green for L1. I labelled the wires with the stickers they sent then which ever coil you choose make sure you label that the same so they dont get mixed up.
