SAFE or NOT

Hello,
I`m running a stock sequential motor with the Peter Farrell Pink 9 purple computer with the latest software, PFs intercooler + Air Duct, Cold Air Box. Car Also has a down pipe, cat back exhaust and a Walbro fuel pump.
I am running about 13-14 lbs on the medium setting is this O.k.

Car does not detonate but my E.G.T gauge is about 1350 degree`s on load However, my Rich/Lean is in the double green....

Let me know what you think, Safe or Not,
thanks,
Andre

I didn't know we had a motor in our cars...and furthermore, that the engine was sequential...

besides that, the ECU might help your chances of having the engine go "boom", but I believe it would be interesting to see how high your injector duty cycles are (I believe you have stock inj.?)

The EGT is not going to get you a direct relationship to your A/F ratio. The only real way to know how safe your car is running is to check it with a Wideband O2.

You are running Peter's purple motor eater as your ECU?

It really depends on how you have that purple/pink box tuned and how much you trust it.

13-14 is too much I would run 12max and then you should be safe. I dont know much about that ecu I know I really liked the pettit ecu at 12psi it gave me no problems.

so no one likes the PF computer? What if all the work was done at his shop and he tuned the computer for the mods at that time?

Are you basing the "purple motor eater" comment on just wiring it up out of the box and trusting it?

<-- a little scared about his future purchase of a PF modded car

safe

stock motor sequential....means non-ported (stock motor) and sequential refers to the Turbo`s

I thought that you`ll would have reconized the talk since it used on this forum alot.

However, the car seems very smooth and relliable so far. Wish me luck, I`m off to the races today...I`ll keep you posted!!!!!

Thanks,

Andre
