i guess part of the reason why i wouldnt sell my car (other than that i love it and ive put too much work into it to let go) is i wouldnt trust any moron around here with it. guys around here cant even control 300hp cars or stupid chevy trucks they soup up for racing.

i put them in my FD i might as well call it a coffin not a car. id probably see it on the side of the road flipped over and in pieces with the ambulance and cops around it. ive had a couple offers to sell, but all have been turned down. "you dont want this car", is my favorite phrase.

edit: unless i absolutely, positively had to sell it...then i would. but only to an accomplished driver or one who knows what the hell is going on. of course down the line id buy another tho

haha i said the same thing to some kid and his hot *** gf in a civic si one time.

He rolled up next to me and he was like, "damn dude that car is gorgeous". After small chit chat like thanks, its a 93 factory paint etc etc. He started to say, "i would trade this car for that in a heartbeat".

I was like dude your car is more comfortable, gets better gas mileage, has warranty. You DONT WANT THIS CAR. I said it like that lol.

He just laughed and light turned green and he rolled off.

Its obvious people like our cars because it looks good. We all know that.

But im sure 75% of new owners soon realize they regret buying one because of how much time/money/work is involved to keep it running/looking good etc.

The FD is made for some and not for most.

some people dont really care (as much) about that stuff tho... I guess they have the "wrong view about cars" ?

or.. maybe if they have another car (like your 'boring' Altima), which has the comfort, warranty, better mileage, etc... then it's "ok" to have a car like the FD, that doesn't have any of those things, just looks, style, performance, etc?

so which do you prefer for a girl? 'stripper-style-sex' or comfort, warranty & better mileage -- as in: likes to cook and won't leave ur ***!

or both!! like having two cars.

and since he offered to trade your FD (just for a nite), I would have at least offered a ride with his 'hot *** gf' !! something to think about next time

I would never sell my FD. The FD is the absolute last thing I would sell that I have. After getting the FD, all of my other hobbies withered away. Now I want to be burried in my car when I die...with a car cover over it and a few coats of wax of course.
Oh man, sadly I had my funeral planned around that car lol. My body was gonna be embalmed sitting at the gravesite with me sitting in it. Afterwards I was going to have it in my will that my car be crushed so no one could have it

I picked up mine after my first re-enlistment and have sunk WAY too much time and effort into it since then to consider selling. I've had her through three deployments and two continents, that's more than I can say for any woman so far! lol. Luckily the female I have now told me, point blank, she'd kick my *** if I ever got rid of the FD because she knows how much it means to me.

Don't worry man, you'll get back into it if you're meant to. And not to be concerned... going with a more "exciting" career path offers better advancement and better pay, which can be funneled toward another FD if you so choose ;-)
Actually, I only got pulled over once in the car it was because a cop saw my backfire. Luckily he never asked if I had catylitic converters, and only got a verbal warning for modified exhaust I'm still single my car was my "Chain" I considered it the wife I never had lol. I just felt like I need to get out and do more things. I'm training hard for a new carreer in the military. Being an aircraft maintainer is getting dull. I know I wouldn't have it with me all the time and can't always take it where I go.

So I learned to let go of something I loved. It was hard, probably he harder than any person I could let go lmao. My friends knew that thing meant the world to me, but I'm just looking to change some things in my life. I still have a few momentos. My keychain, the original engine and a few minor things I kept in the car the whole time I had driven it. That car was treated very well, and seeing it go I kinda imagine it like someone I care for moving away. I think if anything I would go looking for the same FD I had. I started with her 100% stock and knew every inch of it. I dunno if I'd ever want "another" FD it just wouldn't feel the same. I still got my 20B that hasn't sold it and I'm kinda considering looking into kit cars =D Not sure about it yet though. I'm not sure if I can handle that kinda thing yet.

One thing though I'm glad I was never a negligent owner, never gave up, did 90% of the work myself the other 10% being friends. I took it very seriously with the mods. It was truely a passion and embodiment of a true sports car. I kept it modded to still be very balanced and tasteful too. Only had 1 breakdown ever too and it was even my fault really in my 5+ years of rotary ownership. Had car lowered and went down a crappy highway and it ripped my aftermarker power steering cooler off and a tiny puncture the radiator. Was able to simply cut the belt for the P/S and made the drive home in about 10min and no overheat or anything. Man I could go on, but think I'm gonna stop =D

They were both young, im pretty sure that SI was his only car. Thats why i said you dont want this car. Because our cars are weekend cars. Of course there are people who daily drive them without problems but most people dont have that luck. Its hit or miss with FD's. You either have a great running one or you have one that wont stop breaking.

With me, i love ******. Always had, always will. I love the spontaneous, promiscuous, slutty things girls have about themselves and do lol. Idk why, im attracted to that.

Like ill choose a 10/10 girl for some hot *** one night stand sex over a 8/10 girl that i could prob go on a couple of dates with (with or without the sex).

I keep my boring altima because of the small luxuries. I have a finnicky sports car i drive on the weekends so i wouldnt want to have 2 finicky sports cars. However trading the altima for an s2k wont be a bad idea. Then i have the reliable sports car during the week and the unreliable sports car on the weekends

my fd is pretty reliable, 15k on a rebuild that replaced allot of stuff, plus the bnrs which will last 4-EVER @ 10psi with a petit ecu I need to plug in...

... and work is only 5.6 miles 1 way .. makes for a fast grocery getter too, 24 case of coronas fits nicely in the front passenger floor
