sad story/ need oem parts

well, with less then 2 weeks before i come home (deployment) i get the news by work in progress almost done fd was broken into. i need to replace some things and was wondering if anyone knew of places to find these parts. i need a driver side outter door lock/assembly (they stuck a screwdriver in the lock and tried to pry it out), upper/lower steering column covers, and area around cd player (they ripped it out and damaged the surrounding area). i get back on the 20th and my goal is to have the car fully repaired + the final tuning/work done by june 15

Try the dealership for those parts. It might take like 4-5 business days to come in.It might cost you a bit for those parts also, but you know you are gtg OEM parts.

Only use the dealership at last resort.

If this turns into a for-sale thread it will get moved. I suggest you start a WTB: thread in the 3rd gen parts classifieds.

Look hard for the panel surrounding the cd player. Unfortunately I believe Mazda no longer has them, and used is your only option. Also, if your car is a 93 I'm afraid the finish on the replacement part won't match since this was changed in 94+ and that's the only replacements available.

I also recommend Ray at Malloy. If any parts guy can find what you need, it's him.

Dave

Worldpartsexpress is pretty sweet. Like the nice tree breakdown and immediate prices.
