Question S7 engine in S6 car?

Hi
I have a S6 fd with no engine but I have the oppurtunity to buy a complete S7 engine ( loom, ECU , IC, Rad , GB , everything .... ) and was wondering if I can just drop it straight in and away I go?
I 'm assuming it should drop straight in and go ok but was wondering wether the S7 loom will be ok for the S6 car with connecting up ?
The S7 loom will already be attached to the S7 engine and trans but will the loom match up inside the car where it conects to the ignition and heater controls under the dash? or any other place for that matter?

cheers in advanve

Doesnt the car have an s6 engine loom? Other wise everything is the same i think. Look under the uim and see if you see a black boxs instead of vacuum lines.

so what is actually the problem with using a series 7 engine and loom in a series 6 car??

I have the S7 gearbox as well so the tranz loom connesctions are already pluged in, I have all the s7 engine bay loom parts like fuse boxes etc...

so I'm guessing its the plugs under the dash that control the key ignition & heater controls that dont fit? My heater controls are gone so I dont need to worry about that. Can I run an aftermarket tacho and spedo and maybe rewire a push button start button to get around the ignition and dash ?? ( if that is the problem )
