Looking good. Not many people on here go single just to simplify things. I got my car from you seven months ago and I still haven't driven it. I've been going thru every single part and system trying to make the car as easy to repair, troubleshoot and maintain as possible. Should be done soon.

I don't plan to get rid of this FD so why not right. Single turbo does take some time and money even if its conservative like the way I did it.

I've always wanted an inexpensive single turbo stock to 300hp option. A simple, responsive single turbo. It seems like all the singles are for big power. It seems like there must be a smaller modern turbo that spools fast and will equal stock twins power. Have turbos not come a long way since 1992?

i am making about 350whp at 11 psi with better response than the stock twins when run non-sequential. granted, the stock twins non-seq are a little laggy. i have 11psi by about 3200rpms in 4th gear. i also chose those turbo so i could make this amount of power at relatively low boost to keep the heat down, which required it to be a little more "free flowing" (read laggier).

could i have gotten a GT3076R .63 turbo with a custom T3 mani and have instant boost response? absolutely. i could even run 7 psi and have a stock-ish level of power with great response. but why? it's so easy to sacrifice 1000rpms (when we're talking small turbo vs medium turbo) to get 100whp more and substantially lower EGTs.

there are several people on this forum with standard GT35Rs (which have a T3 hotside) and the apexi RX6 IHI turbo kits. they are very responsive and make great power.

turbos are basically the same as they were in the 90s, but now they're more efficient...
