I couldnt find a vacuum leak but im sure there is one. I checked the TPS and it was ok. It will idle at a pretty steady 750ish but as soon as I start driving it isles at about 1K and it will rev up like 300 rpm then it drops. According to the boost gauge my vac is about 10-12 at the 75o idle. The car also gets really shaky if the idle is at like 850 rpms. The jumpy idle didnt start till after i put new plugs in. Could I have done something wrong while the TB and elbow were off. Also the car only had about 9k on rebuild from a Mazda dealer when I bought it and the guy I bought it off of didnt seem to drive it very hard so I dont see how the seals would blow. I need to figure this out asap because my car is supposed to be in a show on Thursday.

The jumpy idle is an electrical problem because when I drive with the runing lights on it stays at 1.5k. It still hangs up smetimes though and I have to rev it to drop it and no matter where I set the idle as soon as I start driving it will idle at 1.5k. The battery was relocated t the trunk so I am going t put some mre grounds on it. Any other ideas?

You tried adjusting your idle screw. Make sure nothing is sticking. The only thing that you could possibly mess up in the area of the intake elbow is either hte map sensor or the TPS connector. Is the AWS hose connected to the intake elbow?

I fixed my fluxuating (sp?) idle problem & surging/ bucking issue when I changed my ECU to an PFC. I have no idea if this relates to your problem.

Hope this helps
