?'s about 13b JDM motor and tranny

I tried to search many times... but whenever i put in "JDM" in the search i get some kind of error..

Anyhow.. I have a chance to get a JDM longblock motor and tranny for dirt cheap.. and i was wondering if it fits the US rx7 fine??

The shortblock is a direct fit along with the trans. I believe the trans has a shorter 5th gear ratio.

The longblock will have at least some differences. The wiring harness is different since it goes to the opposite side of the car (I think).

The later motors have a different solution to the rats nest and require a different ECU.

If you have a motor in your car you can just swap out the parts that are different. Big stuff like the turbos, etc are the same.

Unless you bought a rolling chassis, I see few reasons to do this...unless you want to part it out for cash.

1. Current motor has a blown coolant seal.
2. This motor and tranny is cheaper then a rebuilt one.
3. Saving tons of money.
