RX8 Shift ****

I just got a used RX8 shift **** and the top aluminum part is loose. How do I tighten it or take it off?

I had that happen to me on a couple of cars. if you take the **** off, there is probably a screw up inside the hole that tightens down the top aluminum piece. just dont over tighten it.

EDIT - nevermind, if you have the illum shift ****, then I am talking nonsense.
