get your power fc homie.

jason is right.

be sure you have at least 300 dollars extra on hand for DYNO tuning. do NOT use any tune by mail maps or other guessing games.

Best of luck

piggy backs are junk. if you plan on modding the vehicle and tuning it right...the pfc is the base ecu to use.

If you still have the stock cat and keep your boost limited to 10psi then you would be ok, there would be very little room for error though. I would bite the bullet and get a stand alone ECU.

I think you need to learn more first. Do you have a boost gauge? Are you only "assuming" that you are running stock boost?

With the DP you may be at 11lbs but if you control it without creep or spike to a max of 10lbs then the intercooler w/boost controler choice is fine. The real question though is do you have enough self control to limit to 10lbs?

Personaly, I think you should buy and install both a boost and water temp gauge first.

cheers....he can monitor both of those if he gets the pfc.

I was also wondering could I run a Greddy FMIC with intake, dp, exhaust, koyo rad ,pfc and boost controller. I have a boost guage a temp guage. So would I have the same results and would it work. So would I be okay for the times being.
thnx

if you can limit boost to 10psi you DO NOT need an ecu. don't get me wrong, it is a good idea, and a pfc is your best option, but you are not in danger of exploding imo.

Unless your stock IC is broken by adding the IC without some sort of ECU upgrade you're pretty much wasting $$/performance. With where your car is at you'll see more performance/$$ with the PFC than you will the IC.

PFC and proper tuning you should be able to run safe 11/12psi boost on the stock IC as long as you're not trying to stay boosted at those levels for extended times on hot days (getting your air intake temps way up since the stock IC can't cool it down too well after the heat soak reaches a certain point) at a road/oval track.

When you do the IC I'd suggest doing fuel (pump/injectors) and ignition (many say the stock coils/ignition is fine for 14-15psi but a lot of the dyno charts I've seen show high rpm breakup without something like the HKS Twin Power) with it so you can take full advantage of the IC's ability to keep your air intake temps down.

there isn't much point in tuning a PFC for just intake/exhaust. the base maps 5.08 or 7.whatever are both "base mod" maps.
