If you aren't building a full on, stripped down, race car than I really wouldn't fret over it that much... The FD is already a pretty light car, stripping it down further purely for the sake of weight will be sacrificing comfort for rather minimal gains.
An empty tank of gas vs a full tank of gas will net similar results (120lbs).
But... you can strip out the A/C, the PS, the ABS and trade the stock twins for a single. That'll save you some decent weight.. strip out the plastic interior, remove the carpets and all the sound-deadening material as well.

Typical light weight base model FD is about 2750 and you can loose 100 pretty easy
Full exhaust -40 (DP, MP and RB single tip)
No airpump etc..... -12
Everything blocked off and simplified sequential -2
Spare tire removed along with rear deck carpet -27
Small battery -15
LTW flywheel -5
99 steering wheel -2
Above mods which are easy to do and pretty standard should net about 100 pounds savings
For track cars or hardcore street guys PS and AC will take out another 50 pounds
