So I can back from a month at sea to find that my battery was dead. After putting a new battery I now realize my tail lights are staying on even with the car turned off. Lights switched off and the key OUT of the ignition. Any ideas where to start troubleshooting?

 

Your plastic plug on the brake pedal assembly probably broke. It is there to actuate the sensor

Yeah now that you mention it there was some rubber shards on my floormat. I guess it just fell out while the car was sitting there. Thanks for the help!
