RX7 FD as an Daily Driver?

Hello,

i´m André from Germany and i´m thinking about to import an RX7 FD from Japan My question is if i can use the Mazda as an Daily Driver or doesn´t make this any sense? I have to drive 9miles one way to my work and back, and sometimes at the weekend. Will that hurt the FD or is this no Problem?

I would only import a stock one with under 60.000miles.

thx!

Cya

It depends on how alert you are to problems, and whether you can afford to have it out of commission for days at a time while you fix the inevitable problems that will come up.

IMO, you can do it, but the FD is not the ideal car to be a daily driver.

Yes, this topic has been covered before. It seems to pop up once or twice a month.

A quick search for "daily" in the title in the 3rd gen section came up with 2 pages of results

NOTHING on the FD RX-7 make sense.....including using it as a daily driver. As an FD owner, I'd recommend that you get something that's more reliable (Skyline). Is it a great car to own?....yes at times. Would you recommend one to your friiends?....no.
