Yea does anyone know what it takes to put some of this stuff into old Second Gen? Like rotor housings (yes i know it would require a custom exhaust) but the new renesis is such a much more efficient engine that it might be worth it. And the 6 speed? is that compatible with old N/As? Because it is a 250 HP tranny they wouldnt kill it.

Rims fit

I have a RX-8 chassis sitting here complete with engine (high power), 6 speed, complete suspension, etc... No doors, roof (-was chopped off by fire dep in a drill). The car has 3300 km on it, and "purrs like a kitten".

What is the compatible, desireable parts on this for a FD? I have a FD with T78, and some other mods. Is there any parts that are stock on the 8 that will fit the FD? 6 speed (-I have heard they are weaker, but will it fit?) Prop shaft? Suspension? Brakes (they look huge on the 8).

Anyont with thoughts?

Thank you for your futuRE posts

Florida must have the most amount of rx7 fd. In central Florida my local autozone even has some parts in stock for them. With that said I have seen 2 fds with rx8 wheels on them in person. In my opinion the offsets make it look like the wheels are afraid to get too close to the edge of the fender. Basically they stick in too much.

OK here it goes...rx8 stuff that works on fd
front seats
shift ****.
5 and 6 speed transmissions fit.
(I'm using a 6 currently in my Fd)
The 8 rear end is a GREAT upgrade 4.3/4.40 rear instead of 3.9/4.10
wheels.
Bose 8 speakers work with rx7 Bose if you take the time.
the engine ... rotors(10:1 comp, lighter ) , eccentric shaft is lighter 1lb to 1 1/2 lb lighter.

I'd love to see if the rear breaks are easily modified to fit

I have always been told that the 6sp trans from the rx8 is too weak for the Fd.
