rx 7 boosting problems

i have a twin turbo rx7 and its not kicking the secound turbo or thats what it feels like, the previous owner replaced all the vacum pipes and ever since then it don't boost right,i've check all the vacum pipes and they look ok,when you drive it it go's well then you get to 4000 rev's and thats it no more rev's or boost, its stock engine all standered, there is a pipe missing of the air filter housing, when you put you thumb over the hole it blows back at you,any idears would be a great help, thanks

A friend of mine replaced all his piping on his a while ago,but the two little pipes that run off the turbos that should have the restrictors in them were after-market and did not have this restriction, and he had similar symptoms....Not sure if I made that very clear......sorry,my technical know-how is almost nil

Just something else you can rule out!!

If the boost has had this problem since that hose job, I'll bet that owner got some hoses crossed.

To truly check the hoses you need to take a few things off, take your time, and study the diagram.

sorry dude but this is not the case. if he re-did the vac hoses and forgot to put the pills back in it would be boosting 7psi on both turbos.

here is the vac hose diagram in color..the one under the hood is very hard to follow.
