RUNNING stupid rich, started out of blue (93 FD) mod list in sig

I posted this in the tech section as well but i get more response here sooo...

I already posted a previous thread about my TPS, and as you will read, it was not he tps, i adjusted it to correct values and no problem solved...so here goes.

93 FD

I walk into blockbuster, after driving my car there, which was driving fine at the time, come back out and it has a loping idle...nothing was done, nothing could have been adjusted or knocked out of place.

I have adjusted the valve under the throttle elbow, i have adjusted the TPS, checked the ICS mechanism, nothing seems to be wrong...

Symptoms now are at cold startup, it idles at 1200 rpms but a lil rough, sounds like its running rich (popping and whatnot).
by the time it warms up it lopes from 1500-2000, the smell of fuel is rediculous. It drives fine, sounds like it is running very rich (lots of backfiring and popping) but it drives.

I guess the #1 sign of trouble is that it is running rich all of the sudden and i dont know what caused it...the idle may or may not be connected to that

This type of problem has happened before out of nowhere as well but tps/valve under throttle body fixed it those times, not this time however.

ANY help would be appreciated, although i fear it will come down to tuning, although it doesnt make sense that it would start out of nowhere. IS there a sensor i am missing??? could this be fuel related?!

I AM RUNNING STRAIGHT PIPE RIGHT NOW AS TO NOT DESTROY MY CAT...however my car was tuned by XS engineering with a straight midpipe...also i had a walbro fuel pump when it was tuned, currently have a skyline pump, i know it's output is higher but it ran fine with it for several months.

MAP sensor wouldnt make it run higher, it would just make it run like ****. driving would be very hard with that not functioning. plugs don't just foul out of no where. unless your house is right down the street and you only ran the engine a minute before you shut it off, then i doubt you could have flooded it and fouled the plugs. fouled plugs shouldnt run anyways. check the TPS again. the screws might have come loose and it sprang out of adjustment.

My car is also running very rich, but I'am sure it is due to tunning. I was woundering if running the car like this could ruin anything? I probably can't get the ca tuned for a while.

i know carbon is building up like a bitch everywhere and that can be detrimental in the long run, but running rich is better than lean, should be fine, but mine is just running rich and poorly in general

Try to check if both the incoming and outgoing coolant pipes to the choke are clogged. Mine had very similar syntomps. Rough ideling, oil coming out of down valve, engine going dead after start up and throttle given, white smoke due to fuel mixing with oil.

Now it runs super fine.

PS. My map sensor valve was clogged to. Hit it with you finger if it rattles it not clogged.
