running stock fuel pump at full speed
Does anyone think that running the stock fuel pump at full speed all the time would create too much pressure before the FPR increase risk of fuel system failure and fires with regular rubber hoses?
Since the stock ECU controls the fuel pump relay and an aftermarket ECU may or may not (in my case it doesn't) I've been thinking of bypassing the fuel pump resistor and fuel pump speed relay and just running the system full speed all the time or atleast as long as I have the aftermarket ECU connected (grounding 1K on the stock ECU connnector).

While I do not have the specific answer to your questions you may want to look at the following link that I posted not too long ago on stock fuel pump performance. I still do not know why it did not provide enough fuel at high boosts and RPMs but, the fact remains that I lost an engine to it.

13Beast REW,
There's a post by Chuck (cewrx7r1) in the Single Turbo section about running the fuel pump on high all the time. There's no risk to the hoses, maybe just a risk to the fuel pump but I've never heard of one failing from that mod.
