running stock ecu in parallel for emmisions

I'm considering running the stock ecu in parallel with a Haltech for emmisions.

I searched around and found some refrences to persons doing this, in most cases to retain the hold function on auto's that is lost with any standalone on the market.

Does anyone have any more info on this?

Such as what does the stock ecu need to see to run the emmisions gear?

obviously it would need to know what RPM (so both pickups), it would need water temp, or a static resistance that would put water temp in the normal range, same with air temp.

And I don't care about the CEL.

I would have the haltech dirrectly and exclusivly controll ignition and fuel events + turbo control (sequential) and BAC.

Anyone have more info on this??

Thanks.

You have to have a working CEL to pass Cali emissions. Aren't you the one swapping a 13B-REW into something else? If so, you'll have to have everything pretty legit to get it past the smog ref, ie, no Haltech.

Yes I am that guy, I won't be doing this untill after I get through the ref, when I go into the ref I will be on a stock ecu. running all emmisions controlls totaly stock, that part isn't to hard

After the ref, I will install BNR stage 3's and seprate street ported KEG, the haltech can run the CEL and sequential turbo system with the right programming/setup, its the 5 other emmisions solenoids (minus egr reffed as a 95) I want the stock ecu to run, and the airpump and maybe air conditioning.
