Running so so so rich!
Hello from greece. I got a 1995 fd3s with a bolt on greddy intercooler kit and an exaust 80mm plus some KN filters.
The car doesnt start easily , it makes the sparks plugs wet with gas , and i put on new ones and in 200kms they are so so so black!
I see fire all the time , black smoke , and when i go turbo most of the times car makes noise like shooting around and doesnt accelerate .(sometimes only it works ok at the first 5-10 minutes) . When i drive it for around 30 minutes then the RPM go so so low (around 500-600) and car turns off , or its very difficullt to move it if i dont pass 1500 rpm!!!! Turbo pressure is 7-10 psi (there is a leak on its exaust manifold )
I ve been told there is a valve , cold engine start , and this might be damaged and car goes all the time very rich! Or the injectors might be damaged and throw so much fuel in!
What do you think? I bought a power fc and commander but i dont wanna install it and tune it this way!

the car is tuned rich, install the PFC and get it tuned. if it is still to rich and do check your injectors but mostly it just the stock ecu making it run rich, i think the stock AFR is like in the 10-low 11

teri064, what's the history of the car? Has it always done this since you purchased it? If not, when did it start? Have you checked for codes stored in the ECU?

Iv had exactly the same problem, just rebuilt my motor with stock injectors and a microtech LT10s, oiled up the front plugs and ran on one rotor, thats when it makes like no power and doesnt wanna rev. I was running very rich and premix fuel too, when i ran normal fuel no mix then it cleared a little and did it again. Then we tuned it to be lean on startup then 10.5-10 afr from then on and it runs fine now.
Just when I back off the trottle it smokes but I think the stock oil pump is feeding too much oil still, even though its disconnected

From my experience it is one of two things. your CAS plugs could be pooched. or stuck primary/ secondary injectors.
To check the CAS plugs, get a wiring diagram and see where they connect on the ecu, and use a VOLT meter and check for voltage. If it is low, then you may need new plugs, or maybe the wiring to the ECU cracked and shorting out.
That is what was wrong with my car when i did the rebuild. it would start sometimes, and if it did it would idle like crap, and the car wouldn't rev past 1500-2000 RPM it would just stumble and backfire. Also it would constantly be flooding itself. So i bet that is your problem.
Worst case scenario just find a used wiring harness and get just the wiring and plugs from the CAS off of it, and re-wire the assembly from the CAS plugs to the ECU, thats what we did, and the car runs good now.
Good luck

Tuned rich or not, the car shouldn't behave that way with the stock ECU. It didn't off the showroom floor so it shouldn't with the little things which he's listed that are done to the car.

the only mod that i have is 3 inch cat back, downpipe and midpipe. somebody from the NW forum mentioned to me that installing the stock mid-pip is going to take care of the issue.
