car is running rich at startup and when it goes into boost (cloud of black smoke at WOT),
im new to rx7 and idk what it might be??

can you throw a wideband into it and see what AFR's it's running? These cars run pretty rich all the time. With the intake and exhaust, i would think you'd be running leaner though...

How much boost is the car making at WOT?

Mine has a safe street tune, and a functioning main cat, but I have a catless downpipe. Until I get it really hot, all you can smell is fuel at idle. I wouldn't worry about that much.

 

i dont have a boost gauge, and its a jspec so i dont have a pre cat on the downpipe either. also when heatsoaked the car hesitates. i think think might all be fixed by regrounding everything

see if it is flashed by sum tuner in japan
did u use the oem plugs?
wat rpm.. your car idles.?
