Run a S-AFC for the time being?

My motor is being rebuilt and I'm having larger secondary injectors installed. I want to go with the AEM EMS but I won't have time to wait for it. It's my only car and I'm having to borrow a freinds car while mines being rebuilt. I can get a SAFC for pretty cheap so should I run the SAFC w/ my Pettit ecu to control the larger injectors during break-in and when I get ahold of an EMS, tune it then?? Sound like a good idea?

From what I hear that will work fine, a guy I met with an Eclipse(gag...) runs the Apexi super AFC because they dont make any sort of Aftermarket ECU like the PFC according to him, he says you can do fuel mapping and injector duty setup with it too but...not as good as you can with a PFC ;-)

There have been a few good threads on this in the past. Basically, it will work, but crudely. Because it won't compensate for the fact that the secondaries switch over at different times for different reasons. If you just want your car to be drivable, it will work, but expect it to be kinda funky in the midrange.

It will work, but badly. The S-AFC can add fuel, but it does not control injectors, just injector duty. Your ECU controls injectors. The S-AFC modifies this signal before it gets to your injectors and + or - a certain% of theduty cycle for the injectors to + or - fuel.

Yes it will work. Yes it is a VERY CRUDE way to control injectors. NO you do not want to do this for long.
