Rubbing Sounds When Turning
I was wondering if anyone could tell me what might be the problem. When I'm either going real slow or turning at a slow speed there are these rubbing sounds off and on. Does this have something to do with the differential?
If you have any idea I sure would help!

My FC makes the same noises as do a number of other cars. Its just the tire scaping the inside of the wheel well. I assume this only happens when you have it turned completely or almost completely in one direction. If not then I'm not sure what it could be but if it only scapes when the steering wheel is locked to one side, don't worry about it.

My FD made them when i was backing up and turning. It was bent sway bar mounts from hitting too mnay potholes or something. Replaced them and it went away. The tell take sign is look under the car and check if the endlinks too the sway bar are rubbing on the control arm. You will see the spot if they are rubbing.

Ooh, I hadn't thougth much about the sway mounts...My FD makes rubbing noises but only when I hit dips/bumps at relatively high speeds (say, >30MPH), and it sounds a lot like the tire hitting the wheel well liner. I'll have to do some testing and check under the car next time I'm there.
