RPM Jump when you let off the gas + Quick Fuel Pump question

Whenever I hit boost and I let off the gas, the RPM would sometimes jump up by 200-400ish, is this normal? A couple of times, however, when I let off the RPM is steady

Also, I picked up a stock Supra GTE Fuel pump from a guy and it had the filter on it. Should I switch the filter with the RX7 one or can I still run the Supra one?

Thanks

Anybody have any insight into this RPM Jump issue? I'm having the same exact problem right now banking my head against the wall trying to solve it.

i believe the RX7 filter should be used since it sits lower in the tank.

thanks! Can you see the 17mm nut clearly when looking directly at the engine standing in front of the bumper? Is the dashpot/mushroom directly under the 17mm nut? I wonder what causes the "mushroom" screw thing to become tighter than needed

yes it is clearly visible , but it`s better from driver side ( US ) or passenger side ( JDM)
just follow the throtle cable and .. BAM you got it
the 17mm nut is there to lock the "dashpot=mushroom"
untighten it and unscre the dashpot 2threads... go for a drive ... still jumps ?
unscrew 1 more and so forth :

===>> If you have a light flywheel and are running A/C dont unscrew to much as you will stall on a " gear to neutral" shift and your brake pedal will be hard to press ( no more Vacuum ) ... culd cause an accident

( no it`s not a personal experience .. ) .... dont make it yours

if you are unsure about something . before oyu do it . just ask here , PM ... or call me andill run you through it
