Question rough idle - clutch in

Looking for some help...

The idle on my 93 (dp, catback) pulses when it's started in 1st gear. Once I take it out of gear and let the clutch up, the idle is normal. What's up with that?

Everything else seems fine...

I had the same problem last year. It is caused by the clutch "out" switch located at the top of the clutch pedal bracket. It is a $15 part that sends a ground signal to the ECU when the clutch pedal is not in the released position. There is a cheap spring inside the housing that is likely broken and can be easily replaced rather than buy a new switch.

Thanks for the feedback. Is the clutch switch spring something that I can replace myself pretty easily?
