I think I talked to you on the phone before about some FD meet in SJ.
Anyway...
Let me see..I had this problem before my fuel leak.
The idle is rough, between 500rpm to 1100rpm? And normally this is under some load, light or heavy(AC on).
You are stopping, and you pressed the clutch and switch to 1st, and the idle is doing the above.
I traced this down to clutch switch with the help of a friend here in SF.
Check your clutch switch, this is the one in front of the clutch pedal. Basically when you pressed the clutch, the switch suppose to release about 1/2 inch out, on mine it is 1/4 inch out, thus its not giving the right signal to the computer.
the part cost should be less than $15.
If its more, let me know, I can get it less than $15.

I have the same problem. In the summer when the air conditioning is on, when coming to a stop I have to push in the clutch and immediately pull it out of gear or it will stall every time. And anytime at any load and any weather, the rpms drop when I put it in gear. I'll check that switch...thanks for the tip!
