Rotor housings... are they paper weights...





these fd housings have seen better days just received these from a local guy after some cleaning i found these lovely cracks... yippy whats everyones thoughts?

There's also a lot of scratching that looks to be from sandpaper like someone tried to resurface or clean it up.

I don't think I'd use them.

figured as much, i didnt spend very much on them, maybe ill see if i can get them resurfaced for a backyard throw something together engine of all spare parts

Definitely not ideal. Looks like they have sanding scratches from a do-it-yourself resurfacing attempt and significant cracking. Under boost/heat the cracks can lift causing contact with the apex seals. You can take down the cracks by porting with a sanding drum directly over them to give more clearance, but I wouldn't recommend using those for anything turbo that you want to last.
