Rick Engman, RIP

there really isn't THE section to share the passing of Mr Rick Engman as his influence at the HIGHEST level of our global rotary community is ubiquitous. "HIGHEST" in this case in my opinion means, other than the engineers at Mazda, Rick holds pole position as to rotary knowledge and accomplishments. after moving from Wisconsin to Georgia i made a point of meeting Rick and spent most of a day with him. just like the innards of Smokey Yunich's shop which i visited ('79) and and saw motors that pretty much no one had ever seen, i saw machines in Rick's shop that were new to me. Rick appeared to be a total gearhead from birth as he mentioned he had a monster big block chevy that he was hoping to find the time to re-visit.

my primary takeaway from the day was that Rick was a true gentleman. a big loss to the rotary community and a life of great great accomplishment.
