Rich to Lean when clutch engaged??

We don't have a wideband, but our simple AFR guage has always been an ok tool. Now though, if you engage the clutch all the way, the reading goes from Rich to lean. Doesn't matter if you are idling or at rpm. Is there anything with say the clutch switch that would explain this?

Thanks

I think we need a little more info. Is it lean when you drive or only for the second that you just engage the clutch?

Lean only with the clutch engaged, rest of the time it reads in the Rich area.

Just wondering if there is a reason that the clutch or clutch swithc would cause the AFR to read differently>

I'm thinking the electrical load difference is throwing the gauge off. The idle should also change when the clutch is depressed. That being said, I'd throw the gauge away. It tells you nothing useful.
